Most people ring an electrician after something has gone wrong. The lights are out, a breaker will not reset, or the insurer wants the old fuse box gone.
So we answer the phone at any hour, come out and look for free, and give you one price before we start. That price is what goes on the invoice. When the job is done we test it, walk you through it, and guarantee the labour for as long as you own the place.

Most electricians quote by the hour and you find out the total when the invoice lands. We work the other way round. We look at the job, give you one number, and that is the number you pay.

A dead power point in a terrace gets the same crew and the same fixed pricing as the meter room of an apartment block. The phone number is the same too, and it is answered at any hour.

A dead power point and a full rewire run through the same seven steps.
Day or night. Tell us what is happening. If it sounds dangerous, we tell you what to switch off while we get moving.
Urgent faults go to the next available electrician. Planned work gets a set day so you are not waiting around.
We work out what is actually wrong on site rather than guessing over the phone. The visit costs you nothing.
Written down and explained before anyone starts. Nothing happens until you say yes.
Done to the Wiring Rules with the right parts. Dust sheets go down wherever we are working.
Every circuit we touch is tested before we leave. Where the law requires a compliance certificate, you get one.
The quote is the invoice. Our labour stays guaranteed for as long as you own the property.
Step one is a phone call0449 154 812
We take electrical and data work right across Sydney, up the Central Coast and into the Blue Mountains. Open your area to find your suburb.
Most people in Sydney do not go looking for an electrician until something has already stopped working. The light in the hallway starts flickering, the board trips every time the kettle goes on, or there is a smell near a power point that was not there yesterday. By that point you are not comparing five quotes, you want someone who answers the phone and can tell you what is actually wrong.
We work across Sydney and the suburbs around it, including Sydenham, Sydney, Sydney Olympic Park. The price is agreed before anything starts, coming out to look costs nothing, and the labour is guaranteed for as long as you own the place.
Sydney has the mix you find across a lot of Sydney: older homes still running the board they were built with, sitting next to places that have been renovated two or three times. Both throw up their own problems, and both are jobs we do every week.
Older wiring around Sydney was never designed for the load a modern kitchen puts on it. Add an induction cooktop or a second fridge and the weak point shows up quickly.
Age is the biggest single factor. Wiring installed decades ago was sized for a very different household, and insulation on older cable gets brittle and cracks, particularly in roof spaces that heat up through summer.
Storms take a toll, especially on anything overhead. A surge through the supply can quietly damage a board or an appliance and the symptoms show up weeks later.
The real answer is that it depends on the condition of what is already there. That is not a dodge, it is why we come and look before quoting rather than pricing blind over the phone.
What we can promise is the shape of it. We come out and look for nothing, we work out what the job actually needs, and we give you one fixed number for the whole thing. If we find something unexpected once we are into it, we stop and talk to you rather than adding it to the bill. The number you agreed is the number on the invoice.
The usual model in this trade is a call out fee plus an hourly rate plus parts. You find out the total when it is finished. We think that is backwards, so we quote the job instead of the clock.
We price the job, not the time. That means we carry the risk of it taking longer, which is a good incentive for us to turn up prepared. It also means you can say yes or no with the full number in front of you.
Almost nothing, and that is not us protecting our own work. In New South Wales it is against the law for an unlicensed person to do fixed electrical wiring, and the insurance consequences of a fire traced back to unlicensed work are severe. Replacing a plug top on an appliance or changing a lamp is fine. Anything behind the wall or inside the board is not.
What you can usefully do is narrow it down before you ring. Note which circuit trips, whether it trips straight away or after something specific gets switched on, and whether it started after a storm or a new appliance. That saves time on site.
If you rent, electrical repairs to the property itself are the owner's responsibility, and urgent electrical faults fall under urgent repairs in New South Wales. Talk to your agent first. If it is genuinely dangerous, say so clearly, because that changes how quickly it has to be dealt with.
If you manage a strata block around Sydney, we can work on common property and bill the body corporate directly, and we can keep the same electrician on your building so nobody is relearning the site every visit.
If yours is not here, ring and ask. You will get a straight answer, not a sales pitch.
No. Coming out to look at the job costs you nothing, whether you go ahead with us or not. We would rather see it properly than guess at a price over the phone.
Not without you agreeing to it. The quote is the invoice. If we open something up and find a problem nobody could have seen, we stop and talk to you about it rather than adding it to the bill.
Yes. The phone is answered around the clock, including weekends and public holidays. If it is a genuine electrical emergency, say so when you ring and we will treat it that way.
If the neighbours are out too, the fault is on the network, not in your house. Ring your network operator: Ausgrid on 13 13 88, Endeavour Energy on 131 003, or Essential Energy on 13 20 80. If it is only your place, check the main switch and safety switches, then ring us.
Unplug everything on that circuit and reset it. If it holds, plug things back in one at a time to find the appliance causing it. If it trips with nothing plugged in, the fault is in the fixed wiring. Stop resetting it and ring us.
If you still have ceramic fuses with rewireable wire, or there is no safety switch on the board, it is well past due. Breakers that trip more than they used to, a warm board, or any smell of hot plastic are all worth looking at now rather than later.
Yes. Data points, network cabling to a cupboard or rack, moving the internal wiring from where the NBN box sits, and Wi-Fi access points for dead spots. It is the data half of the name.
Whenever the law requires one. In NSW most electrical installation work needs a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work, lodged with Building Commission NSW. We lodge it and you get a copy.
Every job is done by a licensed electrician and the work is insured. Our labour carries a guarantee for as long as you own the property.
Sydney, the Central Coast and the Blue Mountains, which is around 476 suburbs. If you are near the edge of that, ring and ask rather than assuming we cannot get to you.
Yes. We handle common property for strata buildings and bill the owners corporation directly, and we work on offices, shops and small commercial sites.
$250 off a switchboard upgrade, 15% off your first booking, 15% off for seniors, and a free smoke alarm check with any job. Mention the one that fits when you ring and it goes on the quote.
